The Eleven-Sixteen. Starting with forging together 31 layers of interleaved high-carbon steels, 1084 and 15N20, the billet was drawn out and then divided into 4 then re-forged, then divided into 3 and re-forged, and then 3 again to give 1,116 layers. This kiritsuke (pronounced Krits-Kay) has an exquisitely dense and delicate pattern. Woods are olive with the ringed gidgee from north-western NSW. Brass front guard with black and red spacers.
