Inspired by the ancient millipede, Shongololo (a symbol of rain) winds with coiled forms and earth tones. Like the millipede, ecosystems adapt – curling inward when threatened, unfolding when safe. These beads once crossed continents on trade winds; now they reflect the slow ancient creatures facing a faster-changing earth. This piece honours movement, survival, and the long memory of the land.
