Xylomelum angustifolium is a tree 2 to 7m. It produces cream flowers followed by woody pear-shaped fruit which is rock hard and inedible. Once dry, the winged seedpod is released, yielding a delicious, edible seed. Infusions of crushed seeds and bark were used for pain relief. Found in WA.
