Carpobrotus glaucescens is a salt tolerant plant. The ripe fruit has a salty, sweet flavour. The juice from the leaves is mildly saline and was used to treat insect bites and minor grazes, dysentery, sore throats, excessive salivation, and as a mild diuretic. Found in NSW, QLD.
