Solanum linearifolium has an endangered status in Victoria. The fruit is edible but must be fully ripe, when it splits open. Raw or cooked, it has a sickly sweet taste, sometimes bitter. The quality can vary between plants and seasons. Found in NSW, ACT, VIC.
