Cyttaria gunnii, the myrtle orange or beech orange, is a specific parasite of myrtle beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii) trees. The fungi produce crops of fruit bodies annually from November to January. Aboriginal people have used the fruit bodies as food. Edible and pleasant-tasting. Found in TAS, VIC, NSW.
