Collection: Bridget Lafferty

Canberra born artist and designer Bridget Lafferty studied sculpture and painting at the Canberra Institute of Art, ANU. She moved to Sydney to study Education and ran a small pop-up shop, Bridget's Window Shop in Redfern, which sold artworks, secondhand fashion, along with her elaborate knitted scarves. She has recently returned to Canberra after working as an art teacher in Hay, NSW.

Bridget's scarves are hand-knitted on extra-large needles; they are all mohair, kid mohair and/or silk mixtures. The fibres take on a character of their own; some hold their structure while others have a silken, delicate curl. They are delightfully soft and gentle on sensitive skin.
