acrylic, bark and gold dust on paper
430mm high
553mm wide
20mm deep
The trees are slim but the bush is not young. A forest of regrowth in the heart of a young city, from Black Mountain. The air is hot and still with a slight breeze from the north, but the fountain on the lake is catching a strong southerly. I wanted to compare and contrast the curve in the tree to the curve in the fountain. Gold dust in the youthful new bark is juxtaposed to mixed blacks purples and reds in the trees' own rugged edges.
