Inspired by Tom Robert's Artists Camp (1886) I've had a long term dream to lead my own artists camp by saddle. The modern artist camp has no camp fire, no canvas tent and no horse. The climate is dryer with less vegetation in the camp. Instead a little steam wafts from a fuel stove, a lightweight hiking tent with no fly catches a hot morning light and a "shiny new machine" (bike (Patterson,1896)) is overlooked as mundane.
