A mountain bike path circuits Parliament House through a strip of bushland, with recently 'scared' trees. The historic significance is evident in the anthropological debris at the trees feet. It's not my story to tell, but I painted the federation flag pole, then I painted the forest over it as savagely as possible, obscuring it from view and so these marked trees are the principle subject. It strikes me that the government is not at the table for the conversation represented by these to trees.

I would like to pay my respects to the Nambri and all tribes who traditionally meet here.
