acrylic on paper
430mm high
553mm wide
20mm deep
Getting back into painting after a month off was surprisingly hard, I was afraid to fail. Finally I found a way to get myself over the hump. I climbed to the saddle of Mount Majura (where bicycles are not allowed! But at least there is still a 'saddle' to paint from). A spring rain cloud completely obscured the view. The mist and the bird song were beautifully inspiring. I wanted to capture the way the mountain feel away into a misty void. A storm on the way home destroyed this painting. I decided to leave this as nature's contribution.
