I have used moshi tape to create some squares in the background. Chimy is a beautiful person and an excellent chef. I had a lot of laughs with her and she is very special to me. I remember at an art group we made a peacock. We made the beak and head out of mouldable clay. We then took little square pieces of crepe paper and used the blunt end of a paintbrush to push them into the glue. The green leaves of the tree are offset by squares of colour and small flowers. There is a blue river and small green mountains in the background. The blue sky is filled with yellow stars and the moon. Now I invite children to imagine what it would be like to live in a house in a tree, to look out the window from your bed and see the night sky. You could almost touch the moon and stars with your fingertips. As you fall asleep the sound of beating wings will soothe you, signalling a family of bats looking for fruit. When you are tucked up in bed you might see the tooth fairy coming by to collect any teeth that you have lost. Now kids, no more tantrums.
