The inset edition of Overlooking Bogong Creek introduces elements characteristic of the valley’s environments to the original etching: The dagger wattle (Acacia siculiformis) appears in the scrubby understory, and no exploration of Namadgi would be complete without acknowledging the Bogong moth (Agrotis infusa), whose seasonal migrations have long shaped the natural rhythms of the high country and the cultural traditions connected to it.
