This necklace threads turquoise – the colour of coastal shallows and living ecosystems – with pink coral, dangling like fragile tears. Coral reefs, once vibrant, are bleaching and breaking as seas warm and acidify. The carved pendants, etched with the memory of the carver, sway like broken pieces of the reef – beautiful, endangered, hanging by a thread. The piece holds the ache of loss and the quiet warning of oceans in distress.
