Each of these recycled glass beads from Ghana are individually painted, with no two alike. They’re made to mimic antique Venetian beads, but nothing in the manufacture nor design is the same. However, it’s a clever way to build a very successful export enterprise out of waste material. I’ve added some Japanese silk I had left over from a sewing project. Anigyie! (Ghana for ‘captures the emotional power of something that fills the heart with joy or admiration’)
