A view of Yarralumla looking to the north, taken in the 1920s and showing the Forestry building which would soon be surrounded by houses. The lake (and our house) would eventually be in the central area of the photograph. My parents came from much larger cities and embraced an adventurous pioneer spirit, committing to live in this rural outpost.
