Phil Astley is an artisan knife maker specialising in classic Japanese-style chef's & kitchen knives. These knives are pieces of functional art, with their beautiful blend of aesthetics and ergonomics. Phil forges his own Damascus steel and hand-makes each knife. He pays close attention to detail and uses the highest quality steels and woods to ensure his knives will last many decades. Phil has his knife workshop in Port Elliot, SA, where he also runs knife making classes.
