MEET THE MAKER 

Alexandra is the name behind SmartAlex Textiles, a multi-disciplinary artist specialising in textile design and print-making. Using traditional hand screen-printing techniques, Alexandra prints her own designs onto natural fibre textiles that she makes into a range of homewares.  She also channels her creative energy to make original cyanotype artworks, being a process based on original photographic printing techniques. She uses dried and pressed botanicals that are exposed to ultra-violet light, resulting in artwork of a deep Prussian-blue colour, that is highly sought after. Her products include linen tableware, cushions, various bags, greeting cards and other accessories.
