Doryanthes excelsa is an upright, clumping plant with large sword shaped leaves. The flower nectar was used as a sweetener, and the flower spikes were used in ceremonies. Leaf fibre was used in rope making. Bulbs were crushed to make flour, and young shoots were a food source. Found in NSW.
