Through the development of this collection, I have come to recognise the intricate and fragile dependencies between Canberra's native wildlife and the box-gum grassy woodlands in which they live... to realise that even the tiny crevices in the bark of a tree form critical habitat that supports a web of lives. As my understand grew, I began recording the bark of remanent trees from Gungahlin's box-gum grassy woodlands. These three pieces are representative of that work.
