During winter's mating season, Eastern Quolls become a little less elusive, risking life and limb to secure the next generation. I have spent many an hour waiting in the cold for these predators to appear... And Oh my! The delight to see them chase each other, leap in the air to capture an insect, or pounce on a frog or two. Worth a few shivers.
