Synthetic Polymer and Ink on Canvas
1262mm high
913mm wide
30mm deep
Based on a view of Geelong from the nearby You Yang hills, the town and its factories and refineries are sketched against the backdrop of a storm, which occupies the foreground below the town as well as the sky. The title hints that the storm is what will pass, that everything will be fine and sunny over the town again, but perhaps in the long view of things it's the town that will pass. The unsettled state of the world in early 2025 heavily influenced the mood of this painting.
Please note, this artwork is currently on exhibition at Belconnen Arts Centre and will not be available for pick-up or delivery until the exhibition has closed. Please check the Belco Arts website for exhibition dates.
