Parasitic mistletoe (Viscum album) may kill a branch of the Kurrajong or even the whole tree if there is a big infestation. On the back of this Kurrajong pod the mistletoe is represented by a textile pattern from William Morris. Mistletoe has many ancient symbolic meanings in Europe but it can be deadly to our native trees.
