Layered Histories at Goodradigbee explores the Wee Jasper valley, where the Goodradigbee River cuts through uplifted limestone shaped by deep time. The region holds one of the world’s most diverse Devonian reef fossil assemblages, rich megafauna remains, and layered faunal deposits tracing climates from the last ice age to the present. Interwoven with these ancient records is long and continuing Aboriginal habitation. This work reflects the geological, ecological, cultural, and personal histories held within this remarkable landscape, inviting viewers to consider the many timescales held within a single place.
