The inset edition of Crossing Nursery Swamp incorporates additional elements to the original etching: Black sallee (Eucalyptus stellulata), an olive barked frost hollow species I first learnt to identify during my research; enduring Aboriginal history reflected in illustrated lithic artefacts, based on tools uncovered during fieldwork; and the distinctive pale colouration frequently found in high country dingo packs.
