Linocut on porcelain, linen backing.
320mm high
225mm wide
40mm deep
This series of nine porcelain artworks is created by embossing carved linocuts (representing microscopic charcoal sections) into soft clay, then fragmenting and shaping each form into gentle undulations. Scraping back black underglaze reveals the charcoal like textures from the original prints. Set against linen in red, orange, and yellow, each piece recalls the glow and memory of hearth fires.
Please note, this artwork is currently on exhibition at Belconnen Arts Centre and will not be available for pick-up or delivery until the exhibition has closed. Please check the Belco Arts website for exhibition dates.
