acrylic and sand on canvas
1000mm high
640mm wide
36mm deep
The bush at Kambah pools rears like a titled wave, I tried to capture the vertigo I feel even from the comfort of the sandy beach. The red rocks of the Murrumbidgee laid bare by the over hot summer. Three points, the mountain, the rock and the swimmer's elbow. Three trees, flowering kurrajongs. storm clouds fly by, shadows dropping through the steep forest. The turbid water rashes by a testimony to flooding rains. But the beach goers swim and chat, regardless, life goes on.
