"Buddy" is a vibrant sculptural embodiment of my signature Petals and Worms style, reimagined in the form of a dog-like figure. Symbolising loyalty, protection, and the unbreakable bond between life and death, the sculpture bursts with bold, abstract patterns that intertwine organic petals and twisting worms. These elements reflect the ever-turning cycle of existence—growth, decay, and renewal—while the dog serves as a watchful guardian of this balance. The explosion of colour mirrors the energy and movement of life, while the all-seeing eye motif, subtly embedded in the form, represents awareness, connection, and the unseen forces that shape our journey. Just as dogs are faithful companions to humans, this sculpture is a symbolic protector of nature’s rhythm, embracing both beauty and impermanence. Through this piece, I invite the viewer to explore the coexistence of fragility and resilience, chaos and harmony—a playful yet profound reflection of the world we navigate every day.
