Acrylic on cotton
500mm high
340mm wide
2mm deep
Inspired by solitary late-night drives to Cotter Dam and Canberra's deep space tracking station. This piece was originally landscape in orientation and draws from an exploration of Australian gothic/landscape, the stars and the first time I saw the milky way. It can be considered a depiction of a foreign land by a stranger, and the sometimes isolating journey of self-discovery.
Please note, this artwork is currently on exhibition at Belconnen Arts Centre and will not be available for pick-up or delivery until the exhibition has closed. Please check the Belco Arts website for exhibition dates.
