Originally from Regional NSW, Sebastian Perri is a painter and muralist based at his home studio Queanbeyan. His work distorts the recognisable landscapes of skate parks and surf breaks, rendering them into their simplest forms. Layer upon layer, composition, perspective and colour are abstracted through airbrushed line. The closer the viewer approaches, the more the lines dissolve and the less familiar the image becomes. Since completing a fine arts degree in painting at the Canberra School of Art and Design, Sebastian has spent 25 years sharing his practice as a teacher, trainer and assessor. He has exhibited extensively along the NSW coast and recently returned to Canberra, where his work is held in local collections. @sebastianperriart
