Newar lady is carrying water in a brass pitcher with left arm wrapped around and in a brass jug (karuwa) holding by right hand. She is wearing a traditional attire- black saree (haku patasi) with red border, a blouse (misha-la) and white shawl (gaah) wrapped around the upper part of the body. Red vermilion mark in her hair parting symbolises a married woman.
