Through the voices of a brother and sister, Sky Writing tells a tragic love story from different perspectives, The life of a Royal Air Force pilot, friend to the brother and lover to the sister, comes to a premature end in a flying accident. Adrian Caesar’s poetry and Kat Rae’s responsive artworks explore the collision between romantic love and the doomed romance of military service, offering an elegiac refrain for both. Together, poems and images explore various phases of love and grief, creating an alternative memorial to traditional modes of remembrance.
