A whale shark (Rhincodon typus) swims the length of this bookmark, its body filled with Australian wildflowers in deep cyanotype blue. I haven’t met a whale shark yet, but swimming beside one at Ningaloo is high on my list. The bookmark is a print of my handmade cyanotype, with the artwork on both sides, so it looks right whichever way it sits in the book. Its sleeve has space to write a message, so the sleeve is the card and the gift is ready to hand over. Give it to an ocean lover, a diver back from Ningaloo or a reader who would rather be at the beach. Collect it with my red-tailed black cockatoo and dragonfly bookmarks.
