Straw marquetry is a centuries-old French craft used to decorate furniture and objects. The natural rye straw is hand-dyed and each piece of straw is individually prepared. The straw is split open, flattened into ribbons and carefully arranged into detailed patterns and designs. The natural reflective qualities of the straw add depth and subtle movement. The Big Top collection showcases the classic sunburst design.
